40 Days of ... Art - Day 19 - Encaustic Art

Hello,

I'm so so sorry, I wasn't able to put in the time to blog yesterday. I really tried but it just wasn't possible, I guess it was bound to happen at least once with a 40 days series. But no worries it just means you get two post today :)

My yesterday post is about encaustic art again. It is just such a nice product and so much fun to do.
The pictures are a bit from a weird angle but it's the only way i found (for the moment) to show you the true vibrance of the colors without having the flash light reflecting in the encaustic pieces, because they are not only deep and vibrant in colors they also are so glossy shining.

Those are actually card panels, and here I mounted some of them on the cards already. I just love the look. And they are flat so really nice if you want to mail them.

Thank you for reading my blog.

40 Days of ... Art - Day 18 - book pages

Hello World,

I wanted to show you something I didn't show yet, and it became bookmarks.

The front is shown in the first pictures and in the second the backs of the bookmarks (same bookmark in the same place, I just flipped them around).

Thank you for reading my blog today.

40 Days of ... Art - Day 170 - Zentangle

Hello,

Today a piece of train Art, meaning that I made it on the train while commuting.

I always have this little bookies in my bag and I was kind of finished with the dull brow look. So I revamped it and made it cooler.

Have a nice weekend.

40 Days of ... Art - Day 16 - tag & canvas board

Hello,

Today I finally made the tag that inspired me since I saw the Tim Holtz his post for his 12 tags of 2015 series.

It really got me inspired and wondering how would it look an a 4 by 6 canvas board. So I took one out and just experimented.
I made the tag and the canvas board along side one and another and must say that I like the result a lot.

The tag is on the left and the cardboard on the right hand side.

What do you think? which one do you like the most?

Thank you for reading my blog, enjoy your day.

40 Days of ... Art - Day 15 - Baby Card

Hello,

Today it's baby card time. I love making these big 6 by 8 baby cards.

When I had this new stamp set I almost directly made this card, with graphic 45 good old sport paper in the background.

And off course in the inside the left panel is also decorated, I find it so sad to leave that side blank.

I hope you enjoyed this card.

Have a nice time.

40 Days of ... Art - Day 14 - Encaustic Birthday Cards

Hello,

I couldn't help myself I had to explore the Encaustic a bit more. I wanted to know what it would do if I added stamps to the given.

I like the effects it gives.

I'll make birthday cards out of those samples. I couldn't fix them together yet, because I don't have varnish and I have to varnish them to protect hem from scratches. Encaustic art is beeswax and is very easily scratched, so I wouldn't trust them to be intact after postal services machine sorting.

But to see what could be the result I adhered some of them with temporary tape.

It wasn't easy pulling of the pictures because those are so glossy and rich in colours and I can't take pictures outside (it is night in Europe) so I do the best I can.

Thank you for reading my blog today and I hope you enjoy seeing the encaustic art as much as I enjoyed making it.

Have a nice time.
